About Wisdom in a Whisper Ministries
The mission of Wisdom in A Whisper Ministries is to love God by equipping, supporting, and inspiring men and women who seek a deeper relationship with the Lord in every season of life.
Wisdom in a Whisper Ministries is a non-profit 501(c)(3), non-denominational parachurch ministry.
Our Programs
Through Pastures, our servant leadership training and mentoring program for men, our co-mentors, called “co-labourers” are committed to developing authentic mentor-mentee relationships by walking alongside mentees through the various stages of their personal and professional lives, providing biblically based, God-centered coaching and support, equipping them to positively impact their spheres of influence for the Glory of God.
The Well is a community space for men, where participants have fellowship through small bible study and accountability groups. Well Groups meet bi-monthly virtually or in person. During the 1-hour session, mentees led by co-labourers share, reflect, study the word, and worship God. Well-group participants can expect to be challenged to grow, supported in their faith walk, and renewed in God’s purpose for their ministry and lives.
Be inspired at The Mount, the Wisdom in a Whisper blog. The Mount blog was created with a simple purpose: to share God’s word, explore the context in which it was written and apply biblical truth to our lives today.
Are you in need of prayer? Our Prayer Ambassadors are a dedicated community of co-labourers who are committed to lifting you up in the name of the Lord. “I am a husband, father, step-father, dog dad, school administrator, former soccer player, avid golfer, and wannabe Jedi Knight. My wife Erikka and I are foodies, and we love cooking and eating together. On the weekends, we can often be found binging on an online TV series or having an impromptu dance party with my eight-year-old stepdaughter and seven-month-old son. Active members of our church community, we enjoy serving the Lord as part of the hospitality team.
Above all, I love the word of God and what it reveals about His character and eternal plan for humanity. I have a heart for people and a passion for God. I hope this ministry will glorify God and bless others.
Yours in Christ,
Brad
Meet Doug MacColl
Doug joined Wisdom in A Whisper Ministries in 2023 and serves as Program Director for Pastures Servant-Leadership Training and Mentoring for Men. Doug grew up in Louisville, KY and moved to Chattanooga, TN, during his High School years. Though he attended church regularly all those years, it wasn’t until the summer of 1993 that he learned what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus. During a week at a Young Life camp that summer, he dedicated his life to Jesus. Doug attended Furman University, where he was a 4-year member of their nationally ranked Cheerleading Squad, as well as a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
After college, Doug spent several years coaching All-Star and High School Cheerleading Teams and gymnastics. Eventually, his career path led to over two decades in IT and Pharmaceutical Sales. He moved to Greensboro, NC, in 2006 and married his wife Amanda in 2008. Doug and Amanda have two extraordinary children, Avis (12) and Briggs (9). Doug is active in his church, serving as an Elder for the past three years. He is also involved in Marked Men for Christ Ministry and Young Life in the High Point, NC, area. Doug loves to go camping with his kids. In Doug’s words, “I am an avid reader, and I’ve never met a cookie I didn’t like!"
“In August of 2022, I lost my left leg above the knee due to blood clots. Over the past fifteen months, I have experienced God’s endless love, grace, provision, and faithfulness in ways that I never thought possible. It’s through this overflow of God’s heart that I feel called to help shepherd other men to experience the relentless and incalculable love of Jesus. I want to help men learn who they are in the eyes of their Abba and that their wounds, brokenness, or past doesn’t define them. I believe God has called me to walk alongside other men in Christian Brotherhood - locking arms with them - helping them grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally and relationally within their families and communities.

Meet Justin Jackson
Justin Jackson, a proud Atlanta native, blends a commitment to community service, professional excellence, and family values to create a life path that is both fulfilling and impactful. Justin is a husband and father of two. As a Security Manager for Visa, he oversees Global Security & Safety across their Atlanta, Charlotte, and Wilmington offices and various other locations in the eastern United States and Canada.
Besides his corporate role, Justin volunteers in the Wisdom in a Whisper Men's Mentoring program, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to the community. His roots in community service are deep; soon after earning his BA in Political Science, Justin joined the Atlanta Police Department. He specialized in combating gangs, narcotics, and firearms-related offenses in East Atlanta. Not just a fighter against crime, Justin also served as a mentor for young offenders in Fulton County's second chance program.
Justin's dedication and service resulted in his promotion to a detective in the Major Crimes Section, where he handled high-profile shootings and developed focused strategies for crime reduction. His commitment to safety and community didn't stop at Atlanta's borders - he actively contributes to ASIS International's Law Enforcement Liaison Community and the NextGen (formerly Young Professionals) Steering Committee, shaping the security industry globally.
Despite his significant professional responsibilities, Justin strongly believes in continuous learning, evidenced by the Master's degree in Public Administration with a specialization in Management and Finance he earned in 2020. He recently broadened his skills by acquiring a Cybersecurity Professional Certificate from the University of Texas at Austin.
Justin cherishes his roles as a husband and father just as much as his professional pursuits. He invests in quality family time, whether coaching his son's rookie ball little league team or sharing daddy-daughter dances. When he manages to carve out some personal time, he dives into the captivating narratives of classic fiction, a personal passion.
"My ultimate aspiration is to serve as an effective instrument of God’s love and wisdom in a way that equips, supports, and inspires individuals on their journeys to build personal relationship with God."
Meet Debra Swann
Debra grew up in the metro Atlanta area and has lived here all of her life. She holds a B.B.A. from Mercer University, but her true calling has always been to work in school settings. She has worked at Peachtree Road Methodist as a Children’s Morning Out Coordinator, St. Philip’s Children’s Sunday School Coordinator, Northside Baptist Preschool Director, Woodward Academy Transition Office Manager, and finally as Registrar at Trinity School.
Debra has three adult daughters and five grandchildren. Being a grandmother has truly been a blessing to her and has shown her the need for believers to stand in the gap with prayer for the souls of our youth. Debra has been a believer since 1981 and is a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. One of the biggest blessings while at Mt. Vernon was to participate in a three-year-long Systematic Theology class with other women, which firmly cemented her high view of God…. His sovereignty, His majesty, and His grace.
Having witnessed the massive growth in this city, she believes there is a great need for believers to engage in ministry wherever they can and the Lord leads. She is very thankful to have the opportunity to be a Prayer Ambassador for Wisdom in a Whisper and counts it a blessing to pray for those precious souls who request prayer.
Life verse
3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
